Hand crafted on hardboard with marble-based gesso, the background was painted using Stuart Semple's Black 3.0, topped with a layer of his "Coat" product. 
 
Blood red polymer relief lines blurred using hand dripped alkyd oil paint in crimson. 
 
The vintage Italian frame is metal.
Inspired by one of the first vampire short stories, "Wake Not the Dead".
